About me

Education, honesty, communication and dependability are important to me. It’s what I look for when hiring any service, and as such I make it a priority to exemplify these values in my everyday life, and especially as a designer. I am a college-educated innovative thinker with over 10 years of experience in design, while currently shaping minds as an art educator for the last 5 years. I am a visual person and a minimalist at heart, which makes me passionate about “less being more”. As such, I prefer my designs to be striking without the unnecessary fluff that can complicate its legibility. My multidisciplinary education and career background has made me highly adaptable, with strong confidence in my ability to learn on the go. I enjoy creative thought processes and overcoming challenges. With every challenge comes the opportunity to learn more than I already know.

Dane Lofters

So…why “like the dawg”?

For years, many have had trouble pronouncing my first name, Dane. I have been called everything from Dan, Diane, Dana, Dean, Danbe, and even James more times than I can remember. As such, I began preventatively introducing myself as “Dane, like the dog” (in reference to the Great Dane) which unsurprisingly did the trick. I used this tactic from my high school days and beyond, making the phrase become synonymous with me.
